Book Review : Dictionary of Business Terms Reviewed by G.C.B. Wijeyesinghe Arjuna Hulugalle Dictionaries ought to be congratulated for publishing a comprehensive Dictionary of Business Terms in two languages - English and Sinhala. As stated in the rear cover of the book, it is ideal as a reference dictionary, especially in this age of globalisation, not only for students but also for all those rendering financial services and those involved in financial transactions. A dictionary has been defined as a book that lists (usually in alphabetical order) and explains the words of a language or gives equivalent words in another language. The dictionary of business terms meets these criteria very adequately, the words chosen are pertinent and the explanations accurate, lucid and easily understandable. The printing is excellent and the highlighting of the words is done well. I am informed that a better quality of paper was not used to keep the cost down and to make the book available to a wide spectrum of students, professionals and practitioners. It is a book that should indeed occupy space as a reference work on the desks and in the libraries of all those providing financial services both in the private and public sectors.
