Old Thomians 'Touch Rugby' champs

Old Thomians won the 'Touch Rugby' tournament organised by the Royal College Groups of 1978 to 1980 at Longden Place last Sunday (July 27). They beat Old Trinitians 12-10 and Old Royalists 21-5.

The Old Thomians led by Wazeer Hafeel included Lakmal de Zoysa, Shanaka de Livera, Christopher Jedash, Shiran Fernando, Christo John, Tony Weerasinghe, Sufi Ismail, Romesh Arunachalam, N. Hameed, Asanga Seneviratne and Ravi Gunaratne.

Ravi Balasuriya led Old trinitians, while the Old Royalists were led by Raba Gunaskera and Rohantha Pieris.

The chief guests were Summa Navaratnam and Quentin Israel, while Dr. Fred Perera was the guest of honour.
