Golden memories of the 70s era were successfully brought to life at the Super Golden Chimes Re-Union Concert held on Saturday, August 2 at the BMICH. Fans of Clarence Wijewardena's Super Golden Chimes were treated to a fabulous programme of the many hits of the 'father' of Sinhala pop - songs that are now considered as gems in Sri Lankan music. In the picture are seen the members of Super Golden Chimes acknowledging the ovation from the audience (L-R) Chandral Fonseka, Nimal Perera, Paul Perera, Sri Kantha Dassanayake, Cumar Pieris, Dixon Guneratne, Sunil Malawana, Rukshan Perera and Annesley Malawana. All praise to Annesley for his untiring and dedicated efforts to bring back on stage, after 25 years, the members of Super Golden Chimes and for making this impossible dream a reality. |
