NGC enters airline industry

The Nawaloka Group of Companies (NGC) has entered the airline industry with the appointment of Nawaloka Aviation (Pvt) Limited as the General Sales Agents for Air Arabia LLC from January this year.

Air Arabia LLC, UAE's national and first low-cost airline in the Middle East and North Africa region, had its first flight to the Indian Sub-Continent with its inaugural flight to Sri Lanka recently.

Air Arabia's inaugural flight to Colombo was led by Ali Fairooz, Air Arabia's Director of Sales and Marketing.

Ali Farooz while thanking the Sri Lankan government and aviation authorities for helping them to start Air Arabia operations to Colombo said that Air Arabia was pleased to commence operations to Colombo. " Air Arabia is committed to enabling customers who have not been able to afford air travel in the past to start travelling throughout the region and those who do travel to be more frequent flyers. We look forward to expanding our service offerings in the Indian Sub-Continent",he said.

Air Arabia LLC established as a fully fledged commercial airline of the United Arab Emirates on February 3,2003 is a Sharjah government-owned airline which is currently flying from Sharjah to Bahrain daily, Beirut four days a week, Damascus three days a week, Kuwait three days a week, and Muscat four days a week.

Air Arabia which offers tremendous opportunities to travellers loking for competitive fares,aims to make air travel more convenient and frequent while providing the lowest fares in the market without sacrificing the standards of quality or service offered.They commenced operating to eight new destinations in January, including Alexandria and Assiut in Egypt, Isfahan, Shiraz, and Tehran in Iran, Aleppo in Syria and Doha in Qatar.

Nawaloka Group of Companies Chairman H.K.Dharmadasa is the Chairman of the new company and Mr.Jayantha Dharmadasa is its Deputy Chairman.
