Website launched for Iranganie Serasinghe

Fans of Iranganie Serasinghe can now learn more about their film and theatre idol on the worldwide web at Iranganie.com.

The website launched recently by Emphasis and BT Options, reveals many lesser known aspects of the life and work of the dramatist and environmentalist-as a mischievous child nicknamed 'Chandi' as a protestor who placed a hora vote at an election during her university days, as a woman who loathed cooking but has a terrible sweet tooth....etc etc.

"This website captures the leading lady's simplicity, sense of humour, sincerity and boundless energy," says a press release from Emphasis.

Iranganie Serasinghe who initiated Rukrekaganno, a society to protect trees in Sri Lanka, is a founder member of the legal arm of Conservation Environmental Foundation Ltd., and is a member of numerous other conservation societies like the Soil Conservation Society, Field Ornithology Group of Sri Lanka, Wildlife and Nature Protection Society and the Natural History Society.
