Special Exiles Tent at Royal-Thomian by REGGIE FERNANDO - Our London Corr For the first time in the history of the Royal-Thomian encounter, a special Exiles' Tent has been organised at the 125th game by the Old Thomians Association in the UK (OTAUK) with the collaboration of the national carrier SriLankan Airlines and Qatar Airways. This special marquee will be open to old boys domiciled overseas from both schools and their guests. An OTAUK spokesman told the Sunday Observer. "The idea is to provide the best in entertainment and to meet in harmony under one roof". The organisers have wisely made special arrangements for those who will be interested in the Australia-Sri Lanka match in Galle as it would be clashing with the Royal-Thomian. The same spokesman said: "We are working on the possibility of having a large TV screen in the marquee, so that both Royalists and Thomians who wish to watch the Galle match can do so. They will be able to have the best of both worlds." The expatriate old boys who will meet up for a good cheer are expected to arrive from Europe, USA, Canada and the Middle East and Hem Tours in Colombo has been appointed as ground handling agent. The facilities will include a live band on all three days - Rajiv and The Clan - and lunch provided on all days by the Mount Lavinia Hotel when that world - renowned master chef Publis Silva will make the guests feel that they are at a Sri Lankan food festival. The cost of each ticket will be Rs. 3,500 or the equivalent amount in foreign currency.
