peacefully in London on 3rd August. Funeral took place in London on Sunday

of Mahendra Siriwardene and Ianthi, grandmother of Navin and Anuk, passed

PIETERSZ Former Regional Fishery Officer of the Food and
Agriculture Organization, Bangkok, and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of
Fisheries, Sri Lanka, passed away after a brief illness in Bangkok,
Thailand on August 30, 2004. He was the beloved husband of Chandra,
beloved father of Lilanthi and Ruvanee (USA) and Sriyan (Thailand),
beloved fatherinlaw of Ravi and Benjamin (USA) and Sodsri (Thailand)
and adored grandfather of Sagarika, Nikhil and Kian (USA) and Sarit
(Thailand). Funeral service and cremation took place in Bangkok on August
31, 2004. His family will hold a Memorial Service at St Mary’s Church,
Laurie’s Road, Bambalapitiya on Tuesday 7th September at 5.30 p.m.
