HUSSAIN ­   The death occured of MRS FATHUMA SANIYA Wife of late I.M. Hussain (Fort ­ Galle), beloved mother of Dr Saad (Delmon Hospital), Sahaal (Aida, Bentota), Hajiani Hoorlyn, Shahnaz (Treasure Chest Majestic City), Jasmiya (Kiddies School Dehiwela), mother­in­law of Hilmi Junaid Noorliya, Minon, Rifla and Najeeb, beloved sister of A.C.A. Samy (Canada), expired on 27th Oct. 2004 and Janaza took place at Dehiwala Jumma Mosque 249/B, Quarry Rd, Dehiwela.

Jayatilaka (Notary Public) of ‘Guruwatta Walawwa’, Meetiyagoda, brother of late Kalie, late Ratna, late Raja, late Dharmapala, Prabha, Yaso and late Gamini, expired. Beloved husband of late Arulammah, loving father of Gnanaranjitham (Devi), father­in­law of Appudurai, brother of late Alfred, late Ponrose, late Pius Ratnam, late Mary Josephine (Rasu) and late Rajendran. Funeral will take place Villeneuve St. George’s Church, France on 2nd November 2004 (Tuesday). Holy Mass at 3.00 p.m. Burial at 4.00 p.m.

SAMARASEKERA ­ ELLEN   Dearly beloved wife of the late Edmund Samarasekera, loving mother of the late Raja, Lalitha Rajapaksa, Nalin and the late Nihal. Mother­in­law of the late George Rajapaksa and Laura. Beloved grandmother of Nirupama and Shyamlal Rajapaksa, Mohan and Dihan Samarasekera and Devika Wijewardena, passed away peacefully at the age of 97, on 10th October 2004. FERNANDO ­ DULCIE   Beloved wife of the late Rev. S.L.B. Fernando, loving mother of Shanthi Fernando and Rev. Dr Sumith Fernando (USA), mother­in­law of Rev. Norman Fernando and Manel Fernando (USA), darling grandmother of Sumali (USA), Nimali and Sameera, went to be with God on October 29th 2004. Her Remains will lie at   A.F. Raymond’s Funeral Parlour for viewing on Sunday October 31st. The Funeral Service will be held at the Mount Lavinia Methodist Church at 10.30 a.m. on Monday 1st November, thereafter Burial at the Moratumulla Methodist Burial Ground.
