Delmege to distribute bottled water Delmege Distributors (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of the Delmege Group of Companies has entered into an exclusive agreement with Saji's Watawala Spring Water (Pvt) Ltd, whereby Delmege Distributors will distribute this bottled water islandwide. "The water will be sold under the brand name 'Delmege' while the quality of the water will be monitored by Techwater Laboratories (Pvt) Ltd," said Managing Director Delmege Forsyth and Co. Ltd, Kosala Dissanayake. "The water which comes from the pure spring waters on the Sajinda Estate in Watawala, is collected immediately at source, purified without using any chemicals and bottled under strictly monitored hygienic conditions," said Chairman Saji's Watawala Spring Waters (Pvt) Ltd Bertram Jayasuriya. Competitively priced the water will be available in 500 ml, 1 and 1.5 litre bottles, while in the future the company hopes to make it available in larger containers as well. "Delmege was selected as the exclusive distributor due to our reputation for distributing numerous consumer products over the years whereby we are now a household name, and the reputation we have earned for dependability, wide coverage and the superior quality of the goods we distribute", said Dissanayake. The importance for drinking pure water is fast gaining ground in most Sri Lankan households, while the expatriate population living in the country as well as visiting tourists, insist on consuming only bottled water, hence the bottled water industry is one that is fast gaining ground in Sri Lanka. |
