Insatiable greed!

Like a greedy child who wants everything the UNP Presidential candidate seeks to dominate the media. Having got what he wants from the private media that have no scruples in treating other candidates unfairly he has set his eyes on the state media. Last week his media coordinator complained that Monday Night's 8 p.m. Rupavahini News Bulletin did not give the UNP candidate fair coverage.

On examination the Rupavahini Chairman had found that a speech by the UNP Leader had been given the first place in the Presidential Election segment, followed by item No. 5 coverage for his speech in Kinniya.

It was also revealed that the UPFA candidate Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse had been given coverage in item No. 7. The Rupavahini Chairman had also received a complaint from the Prime Minister that he had been given unfair coverage.
