Madol Doowa back on screen
Thilanka Perera, who cut his cinematic teeth through his innovative
computer animations and shot into the limelight at the tender age of 12,
is busily engaged, in pre-production work to translate the distinguished
writer, Martin Wickremasinghe's novel Madol Doowa into the silver
screen.

To authentically transform the period backdrops in the 1930 decade
including wide vistas such as the then Galle harbour and to recreate the
island Madol Doowa to the screen exactly as the eminent author
envisioned and capture the hearts and minds of the readers, latest
digital technology and effects, which are exclusively used in the
Western cinema will be utilised.
