Dialog and HSBC launch SMS Bill Pay and Reload
HSBC and Dialog GSM unveiled a milestone partnership and a major
innovation in bill payment with the launch of the 'Pay Here' SMS Bill
Payment system.
This innovative service, which will be released commercially on July
20, allows Dialog GSM's post or pre paid customers with an HSBC credit
card, to pay their mobile phone bills or reload their KIT accounts via
SMS.
Dialog Telekom Chief Executive Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya said, "Our
customers are the backbone of our growth and we always aim to provide
them with the best value, technology and service.
This partnership with HSBC has created another facility that is
driven by our strong commitment to make Dialog services more accessible
and convenient for our customers.
This service will have a far reaching effect since a Dialog
subscriber possessing an HSBC credit card is now empowered with the
ability to pay his or her mobile phone bill, reload a KIT account or
even carry out these transactions on behalf of family members, friends
or associates.
Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Sri Lanka and Maldives David J.H.
Griffiths said, "We try to make life increasingly convenient for our
credit card customers.
From travelling overseas to paying their phone bills, our aim is to
give our customers access to a remarkable range of services and
benefits.
This latest tie-up with Dialog is something we are sure will add
value to the HSBC credit card and we are very pleased to be associated
with Dialog Telekom in this venture."
In order to register to pay their bills via SMS, a customer needs
simply to complete a registration form and hand it over to any Dialog
branch with a photocopy of the National Identity Card, and the face of
his or her HSBC credit card. Upon registration, Dialog will send a
confirmation SMS to the customer, which will be followed by a second SMS
giving the customer's six-digit PIN.
The process will be complete within two weeks of registration, and is
open to individuals as well as corporate customers.
