iOM wins JAM Singapore contract

iOM, formerly EDS Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.'s parent company in Singapore secured a large contract to provide an e-business suite to JAM Technologies. JAM Technologies Singapore (Pte) Ltd is a new-start up operation manufacturing digital input amplifier products specifically designed for the flat panel TV as well as home theatre systems, computer and consumer electronics, a media release from the company said.

Being a new company, they wanted to streamline their operational process to achieve productivity, with good accountability and control. Also, to be more system dependent so that the human capital can be channelled to growing the company rather than to be involved in daily operational issues.

JAM evaluated various solutions such as Oracle EBS, Microsoft Navision, GreatPlains, SAP BusinessOne, and other third tier ERP, and found that Oracle EBS has the best fit in terms of their needs and requirement.

Other reasons for investing into Oracle are the ease of use of EBS, the rich functionalities of Oracle EBS, and the ready availability of standard reports (500 plus) that Oracle is providing.

Apart from evaluating from a product perspective, JAM also view implementer experience as one of their top priorities. They were confident that iOM stood out as an outstanding implementation vendor as the consultants are able to relate to their requirement, and also displayed indepth knowledge of Oracle functionalities to map them to JAM's requirement, the release said.
