SLFP Convention at BMICH tomorrow

The 55th anniversary of the SLFP will be held tomorrow at the BMICH under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The SLFP’s stand on the ethnic crisis would be officially announced at the convention, party General Secretary, Maithripala Sirisena said.

He said the convention would be held at the BMICH considering the prevailing security situation in the country. The party has invited 2,550 delegates of the SLFP and leaders of other political parties.

Several development projects will be launched countrywide to mark the occasion while measures have been taken to invoke blessings on the armed forces for their gallant services.
