Sri Lanka Cricketers in luck's way, courtesy Nature's Secrets

Nature's Secrets, the popular Sri Lankan nature based personal care solutions producer, has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Sri Lanka Cricketers Association (SLCA) through their Sun and Fun brand, and launched the Sun and Fun-SLCA Cricket Awards in a bid to recognise cricketers as well as others involved with the sport for outstanding performances.

The sponsorship is over Rs. 12 million and initially agreed upon for a three-year period and Sri Lankan cricketers who have performed well throughout the year in the international and premier league tournaments will be supported to uplift their cricketing careers. They will be felicitated in grand style at the Sun and Fun-SLCA Cricket Awards to be held every year. Umpires and journalists too will be honoured for their contribution to the sport.

At the launch, Sri Lanka cricketers Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara were felicitated for their world record Test cricket partnership of 624 runs. Ace spinner Muttiah Muralitharan too was felicitated for taking part in 100 Test matches.

Managing Director of Multichemi International Limited, Samantha Kumarasinghe, whose firm manufactures and distributes the Nature's Secrets range of products, said that sportsmen get exposed to the sun more than others and saw a relationship between their products and sports.
