Twin brothers launch book

Ten-year-old twin brothers, Isivara Umayanga Karunarathne and Induwara Udayanga Karunarathne launched their maiden book, 'Aiyai Mallyi' on December 1.

The launch was held at the auditorium of their school, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Model Primary School, Matale and the chief guest was Secretary of Education, Central Province, D. M. R. B. Dissanayake. 'Aiyai Mallyi' comprises 10 short stories written by the two brothers and was the result of a project initiated after their Year 5 scholarship examination to direct students towards literary creations.

The two brothers intend to direct the proceeds from the sale of this book to the school's library fund.
