Greece to close doors on Tiger terrorists

Greece plans to strengthen its anti-terrorism regulations, which would consequently ban the LTTE here. An official of the Greek Foreign Ministry said that they would implement all regulations adopted by the European Union in combatting world terrorism.

Over 5,000 illegal Indian vessels enter Lankan waters monthly:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement to clarify recent written responses to Indian Parliamentary questions regarding incidents involving fishermen from Tamil Nadu. These responses claim the involvement of the Sri Lanka Navy in attacks and killings of the fishermen.

Space crunch in Colombo Port hits trade

The space crunch experienced by shippers to European countries is due to some main liners either partly or fully withdrawing their services to Europe. The total export trade lost is around 600-650 TEU space per week to Europe, said Sri Lanka Shippers Council Chairman Jayanath Perera.
