Browns Group ties up with SLT
Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) signed an agreement with the Browns Group to
provide voice communication solutions to their islandwide branch
network. Browns is a leading group of companies with diverse businesses.
Their key subsidiaries are engaged in several business activities,
ranging from manufacturing, trading and service to distribution, with a
history of over 132 years. SLT's total communications solution will
fulfil the inter branch communication needs of the Browns group.
According to the agreement, SLT becomes the sole communication
service provider to the Browns Group which has 32 branches islandwide.
SLT's solution provides the state-of-the-art new PABX system and a high
capacity connectivity through a E1 link.
Speaking on the significance of a tie up with the company, CEO Browns
Group Murali Prakash, said; "We are extremely pleased to tie up with
corporate giant Sri Lanka Telecom. We recognised that a strong
communication platform is vital to move businesses towards
diversification and SLT is in a strong position to provide a total
communication solution to companies such as ours."
Browns and Company can use this communication platform to improve the
efficiency of the company, while making the voice communication cost
among their 32 locations at a minimal cost.
