Shaa-Aan commends media freedom
MR questioned whether the Eds and media chiefs enjoy media freedom at
a breakfast meeting with them at TT Palace last Wednesday. "Some say
there is a threat to media freedom, if so Shaa-Aan should have the
biggest. Is it true?," MR asked from Tea-En-El chief. "No, there's
better freedom now," Shaa-Aan replied.
New Minister
Immediately after the Eds' meeting, MR rushed to an adjoining hall
where his elder bro Cha-Flower took oaths to ad-minister Ports and
Shipping. "I need Weerawila airport and Hambabtota harbour projects
expedited," MR seemed to be whispering to his bro.
Em Pees unhappy
Several Em Pees from the Elephant party have expressed their
displeasure over Ra-Blue's selection of Vaji Abey and Sesame-Tha Athu
for the recent tour of China. "When Karu led our party delegation last
year, he took ten, after proper selection criteria," one member said.
Crossovers sans portfolios
Ano
ther group of Em Pees from the Elephant Party are getting ready to
join MR next month, but with a difference. None of them would accept
portfolios as they come purely to strengthen MR's hands and protest
against Ra-Blue's international tours, disgracing the image of his own
country.
Row-Sea v Kind-Leader
Row-Sea of the beauty fame has been entrusted to organize Colombo
West for the Elephant party. It was reported that Sun Kind-Leader is
against the appointment.
