Sri Lanka picks team for Asian Indoor Sports Festival

INDOOR SPORTS FESTIVAL: A total of around 31 active participants and 9 officials are expected to represent Sri Lanka in five disciplines the Second Asian Indoor Sports Festival to be held from October 26 to November 4 in Macau.

According to Hemasiri Fernando, the President, National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka, this is the first time that Sri Lanka will participate at this festival. Sri Lanka's participants will be: Billiards 7 cueists and one official, Chess - 7 players and one official, Athletics - 3 athletes and one official, Kabbadi team and 4 officials and Dancesport - 4 players and one official.

Around two million rupees are required to send the team and officials for the sports festival and the NOC of Sri Lanka has made a request to the Ministry of Sports to finance the team.
