A refresher coaching programme for coaches

COACHING: A refresher coaching programme was conducted for the cricket coaches of the Kandy District schools by Central Province cricket coach, Sunil Fernando with the assistance of Kandy District coaches, Bernard Perera and Chaminda Kodikara on 4th March, 2008 at the Vidyartha College cricket grounds.

Janaka Weerasinghe, a cricket coach of Trinity College said that this programme helped them to improve their knowledge since the finer points of basic bowling, batting and fielding were pointed out.

Among the coaches present were Indika Fernando of St. Anthonys; M. Rikas of Madina Central College, Madawala; Gamini Wasalathanthri of Trinity College, P. Chandrathilak of D. S . Senanayake Vidyalaya, Harold Ranasinghe, S. Chandrasiri, D. Konara and I Hulangamuwa.
