First MTB cycling track at Waters Edge

MOUNTAIN BIKING: One of the best ‘biking’ tracks in Sri Lanka, especially for adventure prone biking, has been planned at Waters Edge at the request of the National Mountain Biking Association (NMBA) with the approval of Chairman, Waters Edge, Sumal Perera, which is to be launched on March 29.

The President of the NMBA, Amal Suriyage, told the Sunday Observer that Access Engineering under its Managing Director, Christy Joshua, has built one of the best tracks in the country designed by NMBA and has the landscape of an international track.

One aim of the NMBA is to stage the Asian MTB Championship at this venue in the near future. He thanked the Board of Waters Edge in allocating land for this purpose and also build the track.
