Sajeewa bowls Colts CC to victory

CRICKET: Sajeewa Weerakoon snapped up four wickets for 20 runs to guide Colts CC to a ten wicket outright victory over Chilaw Marians SC with more than a day to spare in their SLC Premier League inter club four day Tier A cricket tournament match concluded at Havelock Park yesterday.

Chilaw Marians SC: 181 and 157 (H. Cooray 30, S. Weerakoon 4 for 20).

Colts CC: 265 and 76 for no loss (T. Attanayake 40 n.o, S. Kalawitigoda 32 n.o)

Bloomfield set for outright win

Sanath Jayasuriya captured four wickets for 66 runs to put Bloomfield in contention for an outright victory over NCC on the third day of their SLC Premier League inter club four day Tier A cricket tournament match continued at Reid Avenue yesterday.

NCC: 151 and 177 (M. Gajanayake 42, T. Gamage 3 for 41, S. Jayasuriya 4 for 66).

Bloomfield: 181 and 80 for 4 (S. Jayasuriya 36, M. Gajanayake 2 for 19).

Jehan and Amila wreck Baduraliya

Jehan Mubarak and Amila Wettasinghe picked up four wickets each to put CCC on course to an outright victory over Baduraliya SC on the third day of their SLC Premier League inter club four day Tier A cricket tournament match continued at Maitland Crescent yesterday.

Skipper Dilhara Lokuhettige produced a fine all round performance to put Moors SC in contention for a stunning outright victory over the table leaders SSC on the third day of their SLC Premier League inter club four day Tier A cricket tournament match continued at Braybrooke Place yesterday.
