Turf wicket for Dharmaraja on March 29

CRICKET:The newly constructed playground of Dharmaraja College, Kandy will be officially handed over to the school authorities by the Old Boys Union of the College on March 29.

According to the President of Dharmaraja College, Old Boys Union Jagath Samarasinghe, the playground was renovated for a fee of Rs. 20 million and this money was collected from old boys and well wishers of the school.

Commenting on the renovated ground, Mahinda Pethiyagoda who captained Dharmaraja in 1973, said that the present lot of cricketers are fortunate to play on turf on the newly laid out ground. In the good old days matches were played on matting.
