SB, Kiri and Ruk, the leader is making a desperate attempt to win the
Eastern Provincial Council elections.
The leader's inner circle confidants have pointed out that his
leadership would be challenged by the party stalwarts and members, if
the Green Party suffers its 17th successive election debacle.
A special 'deal' has come from Prabha's Wanni hideout and their
mission in India is to discuss that in detail.
LTTE has offered its support to the Greens at the PC polls, provided
the Greens support the merger of the Northern and Eastern Provinces
under a future Green rule. Falling Kiri has said the Greens must make
every endeavour to win the election at any cost. "Not only merging the
two provinces but we should also go to the extent of merging even three
and get Prabha's support," Kiri has said. But the Rooky man, as a
responsible person hailing from Senanayake family, has objected.
Ruk has said the Greens should never merge the North and East as that
would reduce their Sinhalese and Muslim vote banks. There had been a
heated debate.
Some party seniors have asked the leader to retain Hakeem's support,
rather than making dangerous deals with the Tigers. But Hakeem too seems
to be in wilderness. He is yet to decide whether he wants his old tree
or adopted elephant. |
