Dear lovers

A love story

Recently I was looking for a book, which is a famous love story and most of the book stores that I walked in did not have the particular book. Once or twice my life-partner has teased me saying that reading becomes my second passion in life. Well, I guess he is already aware that my thought in life is him. Then follows the profession, and third the books and so on....

Anyhow, one day I walked into another book shop and they said that they might have the particular book that I’m looking for and asked me to wait until they checked in their stores. Almost after half an hour or so I was told the book is out of stock. I was feeling very sad and that was the time my lover called me.

He understood that I was rather disheartened because I couldn’t find my book. Next moment he started calling all the book stores to have the book reserved. I was ravenously looking at last even he could not succeed because all of them gave the same answer “sorry, the book you’re looking for is out of stock”.

Well, I knew it was very kind and sweet of him to search for the book and actually he made a better effort than I did. I also felt little guilty because going so crazy over a book and not realising that I’m kind of troubling him.

By the time I reached home I got a text saying “I asked my friend in Dubai to bring the book and you will get it in a couple of days”. I was surprised seeing his text, and all I was able to tell him is ‘thank you’ and that I’m ‘head over heels in love with him’.

Dear lovers, what amazed me is his thought and how much he respects my passions in life. I have come across many couples where the guy or the girl complains of either their hobbies or passions in life.

I think no matter how close a couple could be they may have different likings and dislikes, but what’s needed is to understand and respect them as long as they are innocent.

Remember if you do so your relationship always will get better and better, because it has a better understanding and respect. I must also mention here that it is natural for couples to have different likings and dislikes, it is indeed not a failure in a relationship as long as you respect them, I think that kind of love will develop with the progress of time up and more with time to come....

Brief encounter with a soldier

A few special moments,
Engraved in my memory,
Of a soldier I once met,
On a mission unexpectedly

Eyes filled with anger and bitterness,
Not one word he needed,
His eyes revealed what words could not say,
The cost of a gruesome war it said

A lending ear was all he needed,
To express his plea for love and passion,
To feel the touch of human kind,
And the warmth of a woman beside

As I sit and recount,
My woes on these soldiers that fall,
My heart skips a beat,
For I may never see the faces of those sweet

I gave a part of my heart to a soldier,
Or that’s how I feel,
You see, I can see him there,
Wishing he was some for real

All have to fight and some may survive,
Otherwise won’t even make it back alive,
In the ring of war, what matters lies at the love,
In the heart and soul of man

Their love conceal my demonic plan,
A flame brighter than,
And fire of hell,
His desire for others to live well

So, god bless our soldiers,
Who guide and protect us,
Remember them in your prayers,
Even the ones we’ve lost.
