Investigation units to help HIV patients

Ten investigation units to help HIV/AIDS patients will be set up at vulnerable places in the country by the Healthcare and Nutritional Ministry shortly. Each district will be provided with two advisors to help eliminate AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). The objective of the program is to create awareness among patients on the dangers of the disease and give them medical advice.

He said steps would be taken to create awareness among the younger generation about the disease as it will help to reduce the number of victims. He said health authorities have taken precautionary measures to control the spread of the disease to a greater extent.
