Metropolitan partners Johnson controls

Metropolitan Air-conditioning and Refrigeration (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of the Metropolitan Group, has been appointed by Johnson Controls as their distributor for YORK Engineered Systems Group Air-conditioning (ESG) comprising chillers and chilled water air-conditioning systems in Sri Lanka.

Metropolitan were appointed distributor for YORK Unitary Products Group (UPG) systems comprising window, split and package type air-conditioners in 2005. With this enhancement in distributorship Metropolitan now becomes the sole distributor for all YORK air-conditioning equipment and systems in Sri Lanka. Johnson Controls Inc. is a US company, currently ranked 72nd in the Fortune 500.

Johnson Controls Inc is world leader in automotive products, power solutions and building efficiency. Products and service under building efficiency category caters to HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning) and Building Automation and Control Systems, Fire Safety Products and Refrigeration products.

This appointment as the distributor for all YORK brand air-conditioning equipment and systems is a significant landmark in the history of the Metropolitan Group, which celebrated its 50th anniversary recently.

Metropolitan which started its business activities in 1958 in Office Equipment and Requisites, has expanded its business portfolio to Office Automation, Communication, Information Technology, Engineering and Property Development.
