Tendulkar and Jayasuriya Houses in tied match

A tied match in the under-15 age group between Tendulkar and
Jayasuriya House teams highlighted the CCC School of Cricket Six-a-Side
Tournament to mark the 10th Anniversary Celebrations begun at Maitland
Crescent last evening.
Tendulkar House taking first lease of the game in the last match for
the day, made 53 for 1 off their allotted five overs while the Jaysuriya
House replied with 53 for 3 also in 5 overs or producing an exciting tie
in the end.
This paved the way for another fresh game in keeping with Six-a-Side
rules with the wicket-keeper of both sides called upon to ball one over.
Jayasuriya House made 11 for 1 in the only over while Tendulkar House
replied with 16 for no loss to win by 5 wickets and qualify for the
under-15 final with Sobers House at 1.30 p.m. today.
From the preliminary matches worked off yesterday the following
finalists were found for the age groups ranging from under-10 to
under-15:
8.30 a.m. - Under-13 'A' final - Jayasuriya vs Bradman
9.10 a.m. - Under-13 'B' final - Bradman vs Sobers
9.50 a.m. - Under-12 final - Bradman vs Tendulkar
10.30 a.m. - Under-11 final - Sobers vs Jayasuriya
11.15 a.m. - Under-10 final - Bradman vs Tendulkar
12 noon - Under-14 final - Tendulkar vs Jaysuriya
1.30 p.m. - Under-15 final - Sobers vs Tendulkar
2.15 p.m. - Under-18 final - To be decided later today.
CCC School of Cricket Six-a-Side Tournament commenced yesterday
involving four houses namely (Bradman, Sobers, Tendulkar and Jayasuriya)
to honour four of the greatest cricketers the world has ever witnessed.
The CCC School of cricket one of the leading cricket coaching schools in
the island was founded by veteran coach Nelson Mendis back in 1998 on
the invitation of former Sri Lanka Cricket President Thilanga
Sumathipala and Shammi Silva two reputed cricketing personalities and
officials of the Colombo Cricket Club, who are also cricketers who
learnt their basics in cricket under Nelson Mendis.

Under-13: Jayasuriya 47-3 (Kanishka 21), Sobers 46-2 (Livin 17,

Result - Jayasuriya won by 2 wkts.
Under-13: Bradman 41-1 (Devin 13), Tendulkar 39-3 (Saroos 21).
Result - Bradman won by 2 runs.
Under-14: Tendulkar 41-2 (Lahiru 11), Bradman 30 all out.
Result - Tendulkar won by 11 runs.
Under-14: Jayasuriya 49-4 (Sarinda 22), Sobers 40 all out (Kasun 14
n.o.).
Result - Jayasuriya won by 9 runs.
Under-15: Bradman 35-5 (Dulusha 12), Sobers 27-5.
Result - Sobers won by 8 runs.
