Ernest Place like a swimming pool !

Residents of Ernest Place in Laxapathiya, Rawathawatte, Moratuwa are having a harrowing time when it comes to travelling especially on rainy days.

This by-road is utterly neglected by the Moratuwa Municipal Council as it is full of crates and in the heavy rains that lashed last week residents had to wade their way through a swimming pool!

Even on rain free days motorists find it quite a hazard driving down the dilapidated roadway with trishaw drivers refusing to ply on Ernest Place. Irate residents curse why the Moratuwa Municipality which is all focussed on putting up two by-roads from the bridge down Ernest Place is blind to their plight. Particularly so at a time Moratuwa has been singled out as a model city.
