HSBC for the second consecutive year partnered the Kandy
businessmen's forum organised by the Young Entrepreneurs Committee, at
the Queens Hotel, Kandy recently.
The Forum was conducted with the aim of educating local business
enterprises and customers, on how to formulate business strategies to
grow business within the region and to foster fellowship and goodwill
among the businessmen in Kandy. The participants were interested in
sharing their information with the Bank, to gain a candid feedback from
HSBC in retrospect. Here the bank officials had the opportunity to share
valuable insights of HSBC's global reach and local expertise, with the
support to grow local businesses, both locally and globally. HSBC has
worked closely with the leading business chambers in Kandy and the
Sinhala Welenda Peramuna to sponsor three major events in the past,
namely the "Seminar on Financial Services" organised by the Chamber of
Commerce and Industry of the Central Province in 2007.
The Mahanuwara Sinhala Welanda Peramuna, also known as the Kandy
Businessmen's Union was set up 35 years ago with the primary objective
of connecting all sections of the business community. |
