IT training for teachers

The Education Ministry has launched a program to train teachers on Information Technology from April this year. According to Ministry sources, the main objective of the project is to train schoolchildren in the subject for the GCE Ordinary level and GCE Advanced Level examinations. Under the project the training will be provided to 150,000 teachers islandwide.Around 360 teachers will be trained initially, Ministry sources said. Under this program the Ministry provided infrastructure facilities for nine schools and will provide facilities to sixty schools islandwide this year. . RJ
