Twelve teams for CFL League Tourney

SOCCER: Twelve teams will dribble in three groups in the City Football League conducted Division III League Tournament and two matches between Kirula Youth SC v Old Peterite SC at Cooray Park, Wellawatte and Moragasmulla SC v Kolons SC at P. D. Sirisena Playground Maligawatte will be played today.

M. Premadasa, Secretary: City Football League told the Sunday Observer that Colombo FC, Slave Island XI, Badowita United SC, Modera Youth (Group `A'), Black Square SC, United SC, Kolons SC, Moragasmulla SC (Group `B'), Pioneer SC, Old Peterite SC, Eleven Youngsters SC, Kirula Youth SC (Group `C') will participate. The clubs achieving the highest number of points of each group will form into one group and play on league basis to find the winner and runner-up.

Colombo FC, Eleven Youngsters, Black Square SC and Badowita United SC have won their matches worked off on Friday and Saturday.

The other 12 league and matches will be played on February 20, 21, 23, 27, 28 and March 1 at the two venues Cooray Park and P. D. Sirisena Playground.

The champions will be presented the Yusoof Challenge Cup.
