New era in cardiovascular care begins

The new Asiri Heart Centre at the Asiri Surgical Hospital ushers in a new era in patient-centred cardiovascular care.

Situated in a specially designed tower alongside the ASIRI Surgical Hospital, this brand new state-of-the-art facility has three operating theatres, two cardiac catheterization labs, a cardiac investigation unit, two intensive care units and a 30-bedded cardiac ward in an entirely dedicated cardiac centre of excellence offering the most sophisticated imaging, diagnostic and treatment technology available. It features attention to detail whilst enhancing the complete patient experience as well as providing comfortable facilities for the families of patients.

Fill the vacuum

Heading this new unit is Cardiovascular Surgeon, Dr. Vivek Gupta, who has made a name for himself as an adult paediatric and vascular in the Metro Heart Institute group of hospitals in India. Dr. Gupta performs about 600 cases a year in adult cardiac, vascular, endoscopy and paediatric patients. His commitment to the Asiri Heart Centre completes the experienced team of surgeons and doctors available.

The new Operating Theatres are designed for hybrid surgeries with the patients comfort and condition in mind.

Additionally, an eight-bed cardio thoracic intensive care unit (CTICU), a 10-bed coronary care unit (CCU), an eight bed Angiography day care unit and a 30 private bed progressive cardiac care ward is set out in a most modern and pristine environment.

Fast-track diagnosis

The Asiri Heart also has a 24-hour chest pain centre located next to the CCU offering fast-track diagnosis and specialized care, an integrated preventative medicine wellness and cardiac rehabilitation centre, a separate cardiac out patient consultation area on the 4th floor with parking at the same level and an emergency cardiac ambulance fleet with all the facilities to transfer critical patients.

In addition to routine services, Asiri Heart also offers heart care services such as acute heart attack interventional program to immediately open blocked heart arteries to restore blood flow to affected areas, chest pain evaluation program to accurately and quickly diagnose the cause of chest pain to direct patients to appropriate physicians and preventive cardiology services including cardiac checks, lifestyle management advice, customised nutrition advice, customized exercise advice and counselling services.
