Built-Mech Services awarded ISO

Built-Mech Services (Pvt) Ltd, frontline air conditioning company, has been certified and awarded ISO 9001:2008 for supply, installation, repair and maintenance of air-conditioning and refrigeration system by SGS United Kingdom Ltd. Simultaneously, Built-Mech has also begun certifying its technicians under NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) awarded by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), Ministry of Vocational and Technical Training Sri Lanka. At a function held on May 7, 2009 at the NCCSL Auditorium, Colombo 10, the SGS country representative handed over the ISO certificate to Managing Director, M.N. Nowfell and B.H.S. Suraweera, Deputy Director General - TVEC, awarded the NVQ certificates to the first batch of 10 technicians.

Enhances stature

Over a decade of service, it is indeed a proud moment that we were able to obtain ISO certification and NVQ certification to our technicians, simultaneously within a short period of applying for both. "This clearly showcases our commitment and dedication to our process and the people of Built-Mech Services", said Chairman.

These certifications enhances the company's stature and credibility while reiterating our customer commitment towards their march forward in accomplishing its vision "to be the sought after leader in Mechanical Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MVAC) industry in Sri Lanka".

The company commenced its commercial activities in 1994 and during the last 15 years has made giant strides to be among the first few front line companies.

It is noteworthy to mention that some of our local clients have obtained our services for expansion projects in Bangladesh and Maldive Islands, which installations have been successfully carried out.

It commands a market share of nearly 30 percent and enjoys the privilege of being Authorised Dealers in Sri Lanka for 2 reputed brands of air conditioning equipment viz "Carrier", "Hitachi".

The appointment as Distributors for Mitsubishi air-conditioning equipment for Sri Lanka and Maldives by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan is a veritable proud to them.

Their above average business acumen and state of the art technology have given them the extra leverage to perform in India, Bangladesh and Maldives without confining to Sri Lanka only.

Further, Built-Mech Services in the recent past have developed a large maintenance & services port folio among their past clients and others who were looking for distinguished services in the air conditioning business, have not only introduced Engineering and Installation of new systems but are also able to maintain, repair and service them on a continuous basis. Built-Mech Services have placed themselves as a solution provider in their chosen Industry.
