Amarasiri Dodangoda dies

Justice and Law Reforms Minister and MP for Galle District, Amarasiri Dodangoda passed away last night. Born on October 18, 1942 he has been a Cabinet Minister since April 2004. He served as Chief Minister of the Southern Province for one term from 1993 to 1994 and later for another in 1994. In 2005, under the government of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, he was appointed to the present portfolio. (SS)
