The official launch and the press/media conference of the CNCI
Achievers Awards 2009 for Industrial and Service Excellence was recently
held at the Hotel Colombo Hilton in the presence of a distinguish
gathering from the corporate sector business enterprises. These
prestigious awards have been organised by the premier industries chamber
in the country, The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) for the
8th consecutive year. The Sri Lanka Telecom PLC has come forward as the
principal sponsor for the third consecutive year for the Achievers'
Awards 2009, while the Ceylinco Insurance PLC, The Chemanex PLC and the
Bank of Ceylon will join as award Sponsors. The MTV/Sirasa radio net
work will be the official media sponsor for the 8th time while the ANCL
will be the media/press sponsor for the 8th time.
These prestigious CNCI Achievers' Awards have been recognised as a
Bench Mark of Excellence for the Industrial and Service sectors in Sri
Lanka and the unique feature of these awards will be that all Sri Lankan
enterprises operating in SAARC countries are also eligible to apply, so
as the industrial enterprises nominated by the respective trade and
industrial Chambers in SAARC countries, a part from all Sri Lankan
enterprises currently operating Locally.
