The Proprietor of ORIX Company and President of Elvitigala Lions Club
Nimal Ranaweera donated land preparation equipment to be given to the
farmer groups of Rural Enterprise Network (REN), Manager Rural
Enterprise Network Nilantha and Hemantha Abewardana from National
Federation participated at this occasion.
Ranaweera was a participant at a PMSD paddy sector workshop held on
July 2008 at Hotel Saranga (Pvt) Ltd. There, he made a pledge to donate
agricultural equipment, he said that he got the equipment from Zone
Chairman Zulfikar Leon and said that he was happy to donate it to the
people who toil the lands. He said that among the recipients are farmers
from the REN network, Yala as well as from Piliyandala.
