Quake shakes eastern Japan
A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Japan on Saturday, the
meteorological agency said, but there were no immediate reports of any
damage or casualties.
The quake hit at 2:52 pm (0552 GMT) at a depth of 30 kilometres (19
miles) in Pacific waters off Chiba prefecture, the Japanese
Meteorological Agency said, adding that there was no tsunami risk.
Tremors were felt in the capital but they were not strong enough to
topple objects on shelves.Around 20 percent of the world's most powerful
