Emerald International (Pvt) Ltd handed over a consignment of brand
new shirts worth Rs. 3.5 million to President Mahinda Rajapaksa at
Temple Trees a few days prior to the glorious victory and the
termination of terrorism in Sri Lanka.
The shirts will be distributed among the Internally Displaced People
who have been compelled to flee from home and possessions and reduced to
a desperate situation of a wayfarer, overnight.
Responding to the Government's appeal for donations, the management
of Emerald promptly made arrangements to fulfil it's corporate social
responsibility as the leading shirt manufacturer in the country.
The presentation was made by representatives of Emerald, headed by
the Executive Director. They were warmly received by the President who
appreciated the gesture sincerely. |
