A/L revision classes for internally displaced students

Revision classes have been organised on a mass scale for over 1,500 internally displaced students in Vavuniya who are expected to sit the GCE Advanced Level Examination in August this year.

According to the Director of Education of the Vavuniya district, Ranjani Oswald around fifty special makeshift centres have been built for internally displaced students who are currently sheltered at various IDP camps in Vavuniya for their revision classes to sit the Advanced Level Examination in August this year.

Major General G.A. Chandrasri, who is in-charge of the IDP activities in Vavuniya will open the examination revision centres tomorrow. Teachers have been invited from Colombo schools such as Royal, D.S. Senanayake and other districts to coach the IDP students for their A/L examination in August.
