Incentive for Delmege distributors staff
Delmege Distributors [Pvt.] Ltd, a subsidiary of the Delmege Forsyth
Group of Companies, offered an incentive of a 3 day all expenses paid
trip to Bangkok to their entire staff in the event of the Company's
budgeted net profit being doubled, and indeed it was! "We not only
achieved the stretched target of doubling the budgeted bottomline, but
surpassed it as well", said the justifiably pleased Group CEO of the
Delmege Forsyth Group, Dilhan de Silva. This was indeed a commendable
performance given the tough market conditions that prevailed for most
part of the financial year 2008/2009.
A total of 90 staff members went to Bangkok from the peon right up to
the CEO, in what was a rewarding, enjoyable and unifying experience for
all concerned.
As one of Sri Lanka's leaders in the marketing of branded packaged
food products, specializing in retail and wholesale distribution, DDPL
has an islandwide distribution network which reaches over 50,000 outlets
through both direct and indirect means. Established in 1978 as a
separate entity, Delmege Distributors has a distribution network,
servicing different channels such as traditional trade, modern trade,
food service, as well as non-conventional channels such as cinemas,
clubs, and other outlets. The Company represents global brands in
addition to marketing many of their own and is now an accepted and
favoured household name, synonymous with many brands in categories such
as canned fish, desserts, confectionery, bakery products, soya, noodles,
tea etc. Dinesh Nalliah, CEO of Delmege Distributors, said that the year
2008/2009 had been a rewarding one for the Company, with DDPL entering
some new high growth categories. |
