Jetavana unveiled again in a united Lanka:

The Stupa, constructed by King Mahasen in a united Sri Lanka, was
unveiled after the conservation process was completed, in a united Sri
Lanka again on June 18.
The President unveiled a commemorative plaque and a specially
designed electrification system in the presence of the Mahanayake Thera
of the Asgiriya Chapter, Most Venerable Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha
Nayaka Thera, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Minister of Cultural Affairs,
Berty Premalal Dissanayake, Chief Minister North Central Province, Chief
Incumbent of Atamastana, Ven. Pallegama, Sirinivasa Nayaka Thera, Chief
Incumbent of the Jetavana Vihara Ven. Ihala Halmillewe Rathnapala Nayaka
Thera and many other dignitaries.
The President reiterated that - in a land where great kings erected
massive stupas like Ruwanweli Chetiya, Abhayagiriya, Jetavana and
Mirisawetiya and nurtured Buddhism - if there is a will there is a way.
And the same could be said regarding the current development process, of
a united country devoid of terrorism.
The President said that our ancestors taught us the way to deal with
invasions and how our fallen enemies should be treated. He emphasized
that the development process in a united Sri Lanka should go in the way
of our ancestors - devoid of corruption, malpractice and cheating.
