Love mingled with mystery has a magical lure on the on-lookers. Sanda Sakki is such a tale of curiosity and romance that unfold in the lives of youths embodying a variety of personalities.

Akarsha and Ashawari, the two young daughters of Sekara and Matha, are sisters with different attitudes towards life. The eldest, Ashawari is armed with a staunch respect for values and allows traditions to dictate her way of living while Akarsha has a happy-go-lucky approach to life. She is talkative and spirited in nature. Both girls are entangled in love affairs. Ashawari’s fiance, Chathura, is a peevish young businessman having a dislike for everything around him due to the untimely death of his parents. Though young, Chathura was suspected of having a hand in his mother’s death.

Meanwhile Akarsha’s boyfriend Pubudu is a simplistic boy who fits the term ‘true romantic’ to the ‘T’ as he worships the value of honesty. Pubudu’s family is consistently in trouble due to his younger sister’s disability and the death of his mother, which some believe was accidental while others consider it as cold-blooded murder. Akarsha’s bubbly nature no doubt won her many admirers and one of them was Pawan.

His was a one-sided affair as Akarsha never reciprocated and Pawan could never open up about his fancy for her, especially because Pubudu is his close ally!

A character who adds vibrance to the youth’s lives is Pubudu’s Professor who adores youth and romance. Another added attraction is Gewda, a boarder with the Sekaras whose pessimistic and dubious nature invited suspicion from all corners, despite the fact that he means well.

Sanda Sakki is a conglomeration of colourful characters, each unique in their traits and each pursuing a path of their own towards love, mystery and perplexities. As their journey progresses, the curiosity is heightened with each passing episode.
