Let’s take a little time off to admire the leading roles played by a
mother the holy word, doesn’t it sound very precious? Yes, it does
because it is she who bears the child and brings down to earth.
Naturally, her blood is transformed as milk to feed; that is how the
bond between Mother and child begins and this speciality of Motherhood
can’t be replaced by another.
The first person the child sees is the Mother, the first word spoken
is ‘Amma’ ‘Mom’ which varies as per culture. She strengthens and
supports the child from the stage of crawling upto walking and guides us
as a candle-light from womb to tomb thereby, Mother becomes the goddess
in every home.
In numerous instances. Mothers bring up children single-handed and
play the role of a Father as well, and undergo endless suffering and
make immense sacrifices to bring up a child as a good patriotic citizen
and when the child achieves success in life that gives her the highest
bliss than the time she gives birth to a child, that’s Mother’s Love.
Let’s ponder for a moment who is this power behind all top world
leaders and famous people; no wonder, it is the Mother. She even plays
the role of a grandmother and look after her grandchildren and help her
married children. However, the modern society has no time to realize the
true value of a Mother. It sounds funny, why can’t they think that they
achieved success because of their Mother’s sacrifice. They just
celebrate a ‘Mother’s Day’ and present gifts and remember her only on
that day.
I myself have seen many Mothers suffer in Elders Homes when their
children migrate or get married. Citing an example, the birds build up
the nest to feed and protect the nestlings from enemies. Once they are
well fed and get their feathers and able to look after themselves they
leave their Mother bird and fly away. They are excused as they do not
have developed brains, but human beings can in no way be forgiven, as
human beings are eternally indebted to their Mothers.
Well, we are no more children. The way we treat our Mothers today,
our children are going to treat us tomorrow.Wow! folks, how many roles
does our Mother play now? Mother, Father, Grandmother, Great
grandmother...
