Cambrians in strong position

CRICKET: Prince of Wales were 169 for 5 in reply to St. Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya total of 151 in their inter-school under 19 cricket match which began at Moratuwa on Friday.

Peterites taking first lease of the wicket were all out for 151 with Buddhika de Alwis claiming 4 for 34.

At stumps Cambrians were 169 for 5 with Isuru Thilina scoring 53 runs.

Chief scores:

St. Peter’s: 151 in 47.3 overs (Angelo Emmanuel 35, Lahiru Milantha 20, Niloshana Perera 27, Malshan Mendis 3 for 27, Buddhika de Alwis 4 for 34).

Prince of Wales: 169 for 5 in 45 overs (Isuru Thilina 53, Nipun Peiris 40, Sithum Fernando 27 n.o., Niloshana Perera 2 for 40).
