Bell Solutions has announced its appointment as an authorised
business partner for IBM in Sri Lanka. The partnership will enable Bell
Solutions to specialise in IBM security solutions, IBM Servers and
Storage and IBM services.
Corporate and small and medium businesses would further benefit by
having partners specialising in identified business areas of IT.
Bell Solutions will at the onset be specialised to promote IBM
security solutions in Sri Lanka, the company said. Chief among these
solutions is IBM Internet Security Systems Proventia Network
Multi-Function Security (MFS) - a Unified Threat Management (UTM) device
that provides protection for networks against a wide variety of threats,
all-at-once, without investment in a large set of networking resources
or expensive network security applications.
It comes with a set of six security modules bundled into one easy-to
use appliance which helps users enforce enhanced security at the network
level.
The modules include Firewall, VPN (IPSec or SSL), Intrusion
Prevention (IPS), Antivirus (AV) and anti-spyware (AS), URL filtering
and anti-spam. According to Chrishan Fernando, Country Manager for IBM
Sri Lanka and Maldives, Bell Solutions has a dedicated pool of
professionals and is known for its in - depth IT knowledge in the
market.
