Ceylinco Life opens two branches in Jaffna
The recent opening of branches at Achchuvely and Chavakachcheri took
the number of Ceylinco Life branches in Jaffna to five.
The company's first branch in Jaffna opened in May 2002, and was
later supported by branches that opened in March 2005 at Chunnakam and
Nelliady.The branch openings coincided with the handing over of
classrooms built by Ceylinco Life as a CSR initiative to three schools
in Jaffna, the Mattuvil Maha Vidyalayam in Chavakachcheri, the American
Mission School in Chunnakam and the Chettikulam Government Tamil Mixed
School in Velani.

Phoenix Ogilvy wins gold
Phoenix Ogilvy won a gold at Adfest Lotus Awards 2010 held in Tokyo,
Japan recently. Phoenix’s work for Iodex balm for one of its biggest
clients GlaxoSmithKline won gold in the Direct Lotus category which
recognises creative excellence in direct marketing.

Travel website launched
TravelFantasia international booking engine (website:http://www.travefantasia.net)
was launched recently by Mihindukulasuriya Susantha Fernando. He was
joined in this venture by two American firms in the reservation and
distribution business. TravelFantasia was hosted by LEMONOX, a leading
software and web developing/hosting company at Kotte Road, Nugegoda, Sri
Lanka.
It was designed by Susantha Fernando in collaboration with his
American partners.
CEO Forum
AmCham and SLASSCOM, will conduct a CEO forum themed Innovation and
Sustainability on August 9 commencing 9 am at the Colombo Hilton. The
forum includes keynote addresses by the Chairman of Accenture India,
Harsh Manglik and the CEO of SLINTEC, Ravi Fernando. A panel discussion
on ‘How Innovation Supports Sustainability’ will take place following
the addresses. The panellists include Chairman of Chevron Dr. Kishu
Gomes, Group CIO of John Keels Ramesh Shanmuganathan, CEO of Latitude
655 Shanil Fernando and Executive Director of BOI Duminda Ariyasinghe.
The Panel will be moderated by the Secretary of the Board of Directors,
AmCham Sri Lanka and Senior Director & Global Head of Enterprise
Automation Virtusa Prasath Nanayakkara. |
