Time

Who are you; oh time!
That we see you not
Or hear you trot
Or are you so sublime?
Oh wonderful time.
As you tread along
Our sorrows are gone.
Your presence is known
When we ourselves are grown.
Oh wonderful time!
To our graves you lead us one day
We know, but when you never say.

Heaviest ship

"Mother, a question troubles me"
"Oh! What's that my dear son?
Let me find it for you my dear,"
"It is about a ship, mother,"
"A cargo or a passenger ship
Or a war ship?" mother questioned.
"Not that sort really, but....
It is loaded and loaded
Until it sinks, until it sinks
In the ocean of fatigue."
"Will it come for your exam?"
"No mother, this ship cuts through
Our world of freedom and childhood"
"Is it in the encyclopaedia?"
"Mother asked impatiently
"No mother, it is the Exam
For Grade 5 ScholarSHIP!"

Someday
Someday you'll cry for me, like I cried for you,
Someday you'll miss me, like I missed you.
Someday you'll need me, like I need you.
Someday you'll love me, but I won't love you.

Memories

Time is passing,
All things change,
My friends are souls, laughing
around my life
They sing songs,
about our games.
I can remember,
things about my school.
We chatted laughing under,
trees around the cadet room.
But now it is a dream,
to chat again with them.
Newcomers invade our place,
I don't have any rights,
Anyway I can show my love,
to all new cadets,
Iresha Ruwan Kumari
The mellowing hand
I have felt the arrows of problems coming towards me,
One after another sometimes,
The problems come sometimes in series
But by grace, I have felt the arrows,
Becoming harmless as paper darts
Falling in the mid-way or flying past me;
When troubles comes our way,
Sometimes an invisible hand seems to mellow them,
Like arrows into paper darts.

Think a little...

Open the window,
See the world with your eyes,
Everywhere poor people,
Rich people,
Who create the difference among others?
Wind blows over the poor people,
Over the rich people,
Wind blows over the white people,
As well as black people
Wind never cares for differences among humans,
As human beings
Why do we consider these differences
We all are world's children,
She treats us equally,
And she also never minds the differences among people,
Open your mind,
Think a little...
We all have red blood in our body,
Don't think about the richness, poverty, white and black,
They all vanish in a second,
Only our good deeds remain...!!!
