Typhoon Megi hits south China, flights cancelled
TAIPEI/SHANGHAI Oct 23 (Reuters): A typhoon
initially feared to be among the worst in 50 years to hit China has
weakened as it hit the southern Fujian province on Saturday,
official media reported. Typhoon Megi made landfall in Zhangzhou
City in the southeastern Chinese province of Fujian at 0455 GMT, the
official Xinhua news agency said.

Brazil to decide on new president in a week’s time
